I would think that the 35% is the max angle BEFORE parts start to rub on desent or ascent, not the max that it can climb. The Quaradrive II is cabable of climbs above 100%, the Jeep legal department just didn't want to rub the chrome off of the bumper and the majority of their lawyers wanted the slope to be less than 2%....ha!ha!
