Hollywood I feel your pain since I have had the same problem with mine. I have found that the earlier doors didn't have the adjustment the later (61-66) doors have. I had to hang a 58 door on mine and it was a pain to get even close. First how is your starwheel in the door latch? I replaced mine and it made a world of difference. Lining up the strike on the door post can be a pain also. If your door is sagging a little due to worn hinges then replacements are in order. Try a 2x4 under the rear of the door to the step and lift up a bit to spring things back into shape before you loosen hinge bolts. Check your gaps around the edge, as my friend who was a bodyman for years says they weren't that great a fit when thay were new. I set a door in a Power Giant truck and had to oblong the holes with a burr in a die grinder to get it to line up. If you do need to loosen the hinge bolts scribe a line around the hinges to make a reference mark to go from or you will be cussing that door to no end. The door bolts will let you go up or down and the post bolts will go in or out. Good luck.
