The lift gate fits with a perfect gap along the top edge but body line is out bt a quarter of an inch on one side.
I think one side of the body is welded about 1/4 inch lower than the other. I can actualy see this at the rear floor. There are no cracks in the paint and the original welds are in place on this side but the lips in the metal that would have held the floor in place are lower. When looking at the roof welds the panels do not line up either.
I could cut it apart and fix it ....but its a factory fit. I think I will leave it that way. I will fool around and see if I can adjust the lift gate to fit better but I will be surprized if i can get it much better than it is.
The frame is out of square by about 3/4 to an inch. This could be from age but the poor alignment I think is an original problem.
Must have been made on a monday morning ....after a weekend bender.
