I have the engine out of the M, and considered getting it running and dropping it in, but as it would need to either have the distributer converted to 12 V or the Distributer and oil pump out of mine installed, and then I'd use the PW's Carb. But by the time I did all that and I'd not be ready and enough time on the engine to be confident for Iowa.
As the summer goes, after Iowa I won't have a lot of truck time until mid/late July, and then I'd probably be working on the M as I want it running for fall.
The idea of having one running and one to "tinker" with was a good one, just too bad I was so hard on the truck enjoying those great "moderate" trails down in TN. But we did have a great time in spite of the truck dying, and would do it again. I knew the engine was in need of a re-build, but actually expected the transfer case to go first.
I did at least get one good run out of the drive shaft I got from you. Thanks again, will we see you in Iowa?
