Now this is where the '01 Dodge/Cummins is the magic carpet. On a more recent haul, I pulled the 8,000lb+ gr. wt. loaded trailer, with an old Dodge riding high, more than 300 miles. It never paused, coughed, or sputtered. So smooth, in fact, that the same aforementioned son, slept soundly in the cab with me, while it rolled on cruise control for more than 2 hrs down the interstate...all that on slightly less than 16 mpg diesel! ...you'll never get out of single digits with a gas burner doing this.
