do you mean your crank had one 10 under
journal ??
it was common practice at one time to
regrind rod journals without removing the
crank from the engine (or the car/truck)
Sunnen Products made the tool
that way spun rod damage could be repaired
quickly and at a fairly low cost
so cranks with different journal sizes were
not uncommon
William H Crouse's "Automotive Engines"
(2nd edition 1959) text book covers the use
of the grinder
