You are right, this whole thing is a big mess. However, our ancestors are who caused the mess in the first place. The result was the United States, which is for the most part a good thing and I am glad to be here, but it does not change the fact that we took the land through force and deceit, practicing genocide on another group of humans. Every country has skeletons in their closets, this is just one in Uncle Sams closet. So, back to your question, No of course I wouldnt want to walk away from my property if the Abenaki's or the Mohawks decided they wanted their land back. Its always the little guy that gets the shaft in these situations, when the Government makes these deals they dont think about familys like Marks, they just draw lines on maps. Nobody will win.
