But I have had the misfortune of losing a single-cylindered brake system on top of one of the mile hills here in the Pocono Mountains of PA. Parking brake was working, but went up in smoke trying to stop the downshifted but low compression 60's motor, and I was only travelling 30 MPH when this happened. You would think that is a safe speed for almost any truck. I ended up doing almost 50 with engine switched off and parking brake on fire. Almost killed a guy in a Corvette, but narrowly missed him. Not sure if I would like to re-live that again. Thanks for the feedback, and please keep the comments coming.
