Parking brake was working, but went up in smoke trying to stop the downshifted but low compression 60's motor, and I was only travelling 30 MPH when this happened. You would think that is a safe speed for almost any truck. I ended up doing almost 50 with engine switched off and parking brake on fire. Almost killed a guy in a Corvette, but narrowly missed him.
