I know it's not the proper fix, but as I've still not found a replacement spring that matches the one on the passenger side or had a complete set built, I figured it was no worse than having the mismatched springs and a dropping front left corner.

When I pulled it apart, I found the spring bolt had been busted and the spring leafs were not in line. I don't check but I believe the axle was not properly aligned on the spring, the lower leafs that were aligned with the axel were slid rearward. Wish I had made an axle to axle measurement to see how much out of aligh it was.

The block is bolted to the spring pack with a grade 8 bolt and the head is setting in the axle hole, so I don't expect it to come out or move around. At least now I'm sure the axle is properly aligned on the spring.

Sure wish the spring had more arch in it as with it as flat as it is, there is little "spring" left in it.

Thanks,
Will
