My father had a Triumph Spitfire in florida that gave him alot of trouble with vapor lock. He put about 6 wooden clothespins on the fuel line where it was close to the engine (heat source) and that solved the problem. The clothespins act as heat sinks, like the fins on an inverter etc. to draw the heat away from the fuel line. After he died, I brought the car to Vermont and took the clothespins off and have never had a problem with it. It just dosent get hot enough to bother it here.
