I had a 70 F100 with the 6cyl 300 when I was in high school in 81-82. I was a good vehicle to learn to work on. I could climb under the hood and sit next to the engine. I rebuilt that enging and beat the living crap out of it for 2 years. The only problem with them other than its a ford is they handle like crap with the twin I beam front suspension. It should pull fine But i would keep in mind its not going to handle like a newer truck with suspension not designed in the 50s. I have an 01 ferd E450 box truck and it has the same front suspension. they all wear tires on the front like crazy. if it were near me I'd buy it and relive my child hood with more power. I'll bet it can spin its tires pretty good. Also make sure the front cab mounts are good. Mine were rotted and the weight of the cab was resting on the steering shaft. It broke one day while I was pulling away from a stop sign. I welded a new floor and cab mounts in after that. Stupid kids. LOL
