If you are going to do the brakes, you had just as well check the front axle seal and bronze bushing and replace them if they have never been replaced. Also would be a good time to check wheel bearings and repack them if this has not been done recently. Also be sure to have the following tools: BIG brake spring pliers, jackstands, one-man-brake bleeder, and a bearing packer (makes short work of packing those bearings!). Also gaskets, seals, etc. Also check out the flex hoses and replace if they are old. Check for rusty and pitted brake lines. Check out my web page for how to make a tool to install the front axle seal and bushing: http://www.t137.com/ToddSomers/Parts1/index.htm See Gordon Maney's Service Book for the BEST instructions on brake servicing! (Has the factory text and Gordon's comments that provide great insight and guidance. Hope this helps. Any other questions email me, OK?
