The 318 poly is about the same size as the LA verison so it will fit in there fine. Water pump inlet is on the driver's side - fixed by switching over radiator outlet (bottom fitting). Biggest diference is the exhaust clearance - but it should be ok/slight frame notching.
Bellhousing/dist-firewall clearance issues are the main concern. You could use a Helitool kit to simplify things if you verify the poly engine mounts are in the same location as a LA 318's.
