I put a 318 in mine to replace the wide block 318 which repaced the original flat head six. I went with the 318 because I felt it would be easier to get parts. Also with 4.89 gears you could put in a 500 and it still would go any faster than 55mph. If someone was giving me a good 360 I'd have put that in. I don't think fuel mileage is going to be that much different. Hey if the 360 is free and it works go with it.
