Save yourself alot of headaches down the road. Install an electric fuel pump, plate off where the pump was in the block. Go to a 12 volt alternator and Spin-on oil filter. And you can modify the oil bath air cleaner to run a paper filter.
I know the purist will moan,but save the original parts and put them on the shelf in the garage. "Happy" less maintance,less trouble motoring.
