M-37 coil question..what should resistance be?

My brother's M-37 is impossible to start after it is warm, sometimes it even quits when hot. He changed the coil and it helped dramatically...but now, it has returned.

I have a bunch of m-37 coils but don't know if they are good. What should the resistance be on these? Some look like infinite, others maybe 300,000 ohms, some less.
