Believe it, it's true. I have personally known two different guys who got careless and lived to tell about it and heard of two more who never made any more comments.
The first survivor was airing one on his shop floor with his arm hanging over the rim. When she blew, his arm was broken with such force it flew up and hit his jaw and it was smashed also. The rim went completely through the sheet metal on his roof.
The other survivor was not so fortunate. The rim broke his arm and turned the front of his skull into pulp as it went by. They removed most of the bone fragments and put a plate in. His personality was noticiably changed.
Use a cage or wrap it with a log chain and make sure everything is clean and SEATED before running up the pressure. Find a clamp on air connector and don't even put your hand in the zone. Even 20psi has more force than you think.
