That is not a PW serial number... Maybe a 6x6?

The serial numbers for WDX-WM300 Power Wagons start with 839 or 887 or L6W3M or M6W3M or 246.

M-37s (which are Dodge 4x4s, but are not PWs) tend to start with 800 or 802, etc, not 820.

None of the WWII 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton 4wds start with 820 either.

The W100, W200, W500 1957 PWs did not use 820 as a starting number, and neither did the 1956 2 ton HWs, so I am guessing your serial number is that of a 2wd.

What does your PW look like? If it is the WDX-WM300 Cycle Fendered Power-Wagon style, then look here for info on where to find the numbers on the vehicle:

I just did some more looking, and here is what I found:

82000001 is the starting serial number for WC-62s and WC-63s, which are WWII 1 1/4 ton military 6x6s. The ending serial number for those trucks was 82043278, so your number falls into that group just fine.

Is that what you have? A 6x6?

If not the closest I could find was the starting serial number for a 1948 B-1-B 2wd 1/2 ton which is 82044001. That number is too high, but it was the next closeest one I found so far.

Let us know what you have.

Eric
