Not really a problem at all. It is basically a bolt on. You need to know which engine you have (230 or 251) as is makes a difference in the front frame extensions and the rear mounting bar for the winch. You also need to know which transmission you have to get the correct PTO. If you get the correct PTO for either transmission it should come with a shift lever that will fit an existing hole in the center hump of the floor.

You will see winches for sale on this forum from time to time. You may need to buy bumpers and frame extensions from Dennis Sherman who is on this forum. Parts are available for the winches from several places. I have pieced together two of them for my trucks.
