I knew that the curent drops when the voltage goes up, I was just being cautious....I'd hate for something to go bad while trying to cross the Golden Crack :-)
Knowing that someone else is running a similar setup give me a warm fuzzy about it.
I'm still not 100% sure where I'll get power yet, I'll take your suggestion into consideration. I will have a push button momentary switch for starting.
