You are not going to need to do much with the 440 to achieve the power you are wanting to get.

Your headers are not really needed for a low end torque motor. Your 3 inch exhaust is too much but not a real problem. If its there leave it alone. If not dont spend the money on it. In a dyno situation you may see a slight loss in torque but the 440 has plenty to spare and I dont think you will notice much of a loss in torque as to compared to smaller engines running a smaller exhaust to keep the exhaust velocity up to help low end torque.

As long as it doesnt have a thermoquad carb on it you can use the intake. Otherwise look into a dual plane intake. The Mopar M1 dual plane intake is good for low and mid range torque. The older intakes for the AFB or AVS carbs are just fine for your appplication.

You then need to determine your altitude and what octane gas you want to run on and then go with a cam shaft. I would recommend Engle cams as they custom grind Mopar cam shafts and do not use a general template to make cams. Mopar engines are very differnent then Chevy or Ford engines and any old run of the mill cam shaft will not produce the power that a custom grind cam can do.

Call these guys and tell them what you got and want to do and they will recommend a cam. Know your altitude and gear ratio and octane of fuel you want to use. They will recommend a camshaft and a compression ratio and go from there. Then you can order the other parts.

The 440 was originally rated at 375hp 490lbs of torque but things are rated differently now and you should be able to expect 350hp pretty easy and probably 500-600lbs of torque without a lot of work.

5000rpms it all you will want to turn on a 440. Not any mor eis needed and with the right cam set up you should be able to pull what you want and burn off dual rear wheels anytime you want! ;)
