Another carpenter weighing in here. I have a tub of Amsoil synthetic grease in a NLGI#0 weight ready to use in the knuckles. It would seem to have more than enough ability to handle the lubrication needs, more than Dodge could have envisioned in the '50s, and yet is fluid enough to flow in the knuckle cavity with the truck's motion. We'll see.
