Still seems like a crazy way to describe the way they want them filled & poor engineering if you're correct. As has been said many times...regular grease that comes in grease gun would fill the whole knuckle to capacity before a single drop would squeeze out that "Level Plug"...& doesn't that seem like a dumb name for such a plug if it is in fact being used for that purpose?
My WDX manual calls for heavy-fiber universal joint grease in the U-joints & goes into great detail explaining why chassis lubricant is a no no. Why are there so many contradictory procedures in these manuals...all seem to be supplied by Dodge?
