I was unable to locate NOS top Bronze Bushings. My past experience with reproduction axle bushings turned me off to reproduction bronze bushings. As an example, The Dodge Spec for the axle bushing is 1.5190" to 1.5210" with a wear limit of 1.5260". I went thru a box a 37 NEW REPO bronze bushings to find 4 that were within the Dodge Spec. The bushings were running from 1.5240" to 1.5290". Brand new bushings were out of spec. Plus they were just tossed into a box, all chewed and nicked. Recently I located NOS Axle Bushings at Memphis Equipment. I ordered some for stock. Being NOS, I measured them and they were all within Dodge Spec. These ropo bushings are Hobby shop work, Moog and Federal Mougal would not do well if they supplied out of spec new parts.

I did not have time to go thru the knot hole of trying to get in spec top trunion pin bushings for the knuckle so I went with the bearing. Steering effort is greatly reduced, and I doubt very few Power Wagons will ever see off road conditions that would require a bushing for daily use.

This is a well accepted modification by companies doing upgrades on equipment for modern off road fire dept and commercial service.
