Hi Mike,
Yeah, that was what I was thinking. I know a guy who was trying to pull a stuck vehicle out of the mud with a full size van. He had a piece of 2" nylon rope, discarded Coast Guard dock line or something. He looped it around the trailer ball of the stuck rig and took off fast. after all of the stretch was taken up it slipped off the trailer ball. It recoiled back like a rubber band and hit the back doors of the van. Both back windows blew in in a thousand pieces, most of which ended up on the dashboard. The impression of the rope was embossed into the back doors as if it was molded that way. You could even see the lay of the rope in the indentations in the doors. The irony was that he was a Coasty himself and should have known better. Oh well, a cheap lesson. I always wish that I had gotten him to give me one of those doors when he had them replaced. It was really pretty amazing to see.
