All, or nearly all, the 1.5 ton 6 x 6 trucks came with or without winch on chassis of two different lengths, so it is likely that your find was always non-winch...
but... years ago, when discussing this with some Norwegian enthusiasts during some parts-haggling, I was told that the very last production run of WC 6 x 6 winch trucks were built on 'short' chassis using early PW-type bolt-on extensions.
I have no evidence for this at all, and it is at least possible they were talking about post-war rebuilds rather than original factory production line stuff, but the possiblity exists that it did happen.
