Thanks for replying about your cut down PW cab.
I've always liked the look of the open cab WW2 GMC 6x6, with the 16-19 full tub or the tub on the M-37. I never cared for the look of the WC and PW series weapons carriers with just the coweling and seats.
I've been toying with the idea of one of my PW projects as an open cab. The top half of the cab is repairable but pretty beat from just back of the top seam. I also have a set of doors that are trashed above the bottom of the window sills. I been thinking of cutting the cab at the level of the door sill so I can still rest my arm on the door and having the back of the cab to match. Modifiy the hinges so the doors can be removed quickly, if I want to run with them off.
I thought of cutting the frame behind the cab approx. 1 foot shorter. I have a pilot cab bed that's a few inches short of the PW's length,I could shorten it.
Well it's still in the idea stage.
