All trees are tubed right to the Sugar House. The main lines are 1 inch and the laterals are 5/16". Then 21 inches of vacuum is put on the entire system. The vacuum does not suck the sap, rather tricks the trees to think atmospheric air presure is very low and they produce a lot more sap.
