O.T., anybody here worked on an M211/M135 hydramatic tranny

I think the front band on my M211 water tender is shot and that's why it won't go fast. I tried to adjust it per the manual but can't the indicator pin to move at all. I know this isn't dodge, and isn't even mopar, but if one of you guys is familiar with this tranny, could you please email me? I have the transmission TM on order, but haven't gotten it yet. I'm hoping there's some way I can avoid having to remove the tranny from the truck.
