a good way to do the rims is to take them to a heavy equipment tire shop. they often have a front loader there that can put pressure down on the tire to break it free. some times they have a tire machine big enough to press the tire down and over the split. i helped bob stahl break down 2 of the tires on my command car before we took them to the truck shop. 25 bucks to remove the tire from each rim was money well spent.
hands & eyes are expensive to replace.
