There were a few different square top Carter carbureters used on other engines, but the ET1, ET2, ET4, E7F1, and E7S1 were only used on the T137 POWER-WAGON engines.

Pictured above is a Carter Square Top currently on ebay. I don't have any connection with this listing. The type of carb shown was designed for a different application and I have yet to figure out how to make one of these work properly on a POWER-WAGON. Completely replacing the governor and throttle plate assembly with one from a POWER-WAGON looks like the best chance at success. Is yours more like this one shown on ebay, or more like those shown on my page at www.t137.com? I have not seen one where only the choke control is on the wrong side when the carb is mounted correctly to the manifold. When you mount this carbureter with the fuel inlet to the right, are the brass governor plugs pointing to the front or rear of the truck?

I have never owned any WDX-WM300 POWER-WAGONS any newer than 1952, so I don't have any of the correct "round top" carburetors or photos. I will see if I can find someone else who my have a photo of one though. I don't have any information in front of me at the moment.

Clint
