the Michelin data book states Only Michelin X truck tires which are marked "REGROOVABLE"
on the sidewall maybe regrooved. and then there is a chart which indicates how deep
they can be cut

the 9.00 & 11.00 R 16 Michelin tires used
in non military / commercial applications are not really used to the design limits of the tires. a few days off the road here and there
now and then is not like 24/7
there are also specific load/speed/inflation
guidelines for different road surfaces that
should be followed to avoid damage to the
tires - one can go the michelin truck tire
site & download a data book and read up on
what they have or might want to buy
