Kevins got a good point, these dual carb set-ups may have been available after the 1953 model year. If a certain truck was ordered that year maybe this dual carb deal was standard equipment and later year models this induction/exhuast system was a special option or part of a severe service/extra heavy duty package. The Motors Manuals are a good referance source but do have shortcomings when this type of info is needed.
