A "U" clamp with nuts and lockwashers on each threaded end goes sideways into these two holes. Measure the distance between the holes and get a "U" clamp that fits and has an arch inside diameter near the diameter of the cable. The closed loop goes inside the drum, nuts and lockwashers outside. Put the cable through the close loop then tighten the nuts against the lockwashers on the outside of the drum. Be aware that the cable might pull through this fitting, so be careful and keep quite a bit of cable wrapped on the drum when winching. Good luck!
