It's one thing to modify common M37's and other MV's. But command cars are rare enough that you should make an effort to restore it.

There are enough flathead parts around to accomplish that.

If you must have a V-8 rig, consider picking up the command car and trading it. You may be able to get an already decently modified and finished weapons carrier or carryall in trade for your command car.

BTW, some command cars originally were 12v. The radio command cars were. You need to find out the s/n and if possible the W-number from the hood or bumpers. Then it can be cross-checked for exact model.
