I have swapped the NP420's into the early PW's and,
out of desperation, the early T-10 crashbox into an
M-37. it is a straight bolt-up swap. if anybody
needs bellhousings to fit eiither trans, I have
them. I've also bolted an NP 437 to an NP 420
bellhousing behind a 318-A type engine, so hypthetically
it would also fit and M-37 early PW. The problem
with MoPar is that they are famous/notorious for
mid year and special order changes, for example I
have a 66 W200 SWB truck which Dodge didn't make
that year; I have seen 63 Chrysler New Yorker
4dr HT WAGON wagon with bucket seats, 4 spd and a
cross ram 413, & I have run across a '54 DeSoto
'Coronado', a trim option only available in late
'55, so my 420 to 435 swap might have been a fluke
