Jack,
It has been a long time since I have read so much horse manure packed into one paragraph. Of course, it is not, "your fault". I did not have to read it.
Unfortunaetly, you and Chris Jordan represent the "NEW AMERICAN WAY". Blame everyone else for ones own personal stupidity, naivety, and actions.
It sounds like you are the one that bid more than you should have for the, "rusty broken post auger with frozen gears". Or did you get the horse that had a "sway back
and was crippled"?

You sound like a lawyer twisting Tim's words around. Tim never implied that people who don't use auctions are not educated, disciplined or otherwise...
IT TAKES EFFORT TO LEARN ABOUT AN ITEM THAT YOU MAY WANT TO BUY, NEW USED OR OTHERWISE. EFFORT, JACK. TRY PUTTING IT IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Maybe you are an attorney just trying to drum up people to go sue eBay for their "burning themselves", just like the McDonald's coffee girl.
Hey, maybe if you put an "ICE COLD BUD" between your legs while driving, causing a severe case of freezer burn, you can sue Budwiser.
Stick a cigarette in your mouth and go after the tobbacco giants.
Eat a lot of junk food, sit in front of the tv, get fat and blame the grocery store for being out of shape.

My 53 PW that I purchased a few weeks ago need a new fuel pump. Maybe I should ask the person I bought it from for my money back, or to pay for the new
pump. That was not part of our deal. No warranties.

Ebay is a service that brings the seller,( the auctioneer ), and the potential bidders together.
If you deviously sell Tim's house without him knowing, you are the dishonest seller, not eBay.

The second half of your last sentance is actually very accurate. Read it again untill it sinks in.
It is attitudes like yours that make lawyers rich and powerful, and people weak.
