Since you taking your PW down to the bare frame, I would suggest going one step further and have the frame/parts blasted with Black Beauty or some other media recomended by the blaster. In my opinion, the only way to totally get all rust off and have a perfect job is by blasting. It also reveals and other problems such as a crack. Once the frame is blasted, bright and shiney, I shoot PPG, MP-170 Epoxy primer and then top coat with PPG MOA Hardened Chassis Black. The resulting finish is a nice hard satin black.

By going this route, I know without question, the job will last a life time. Without blasting, you 'may', find rust bubbling through in the future and have to strip it again to get to the rust.

I can not comment on the SATA gun. I do have a SATA HVLP 2000 Digital, but wold never shoot primer in it. I suggest you go to the Autobody forum and ask the question on the Gun. Len, the forum owner sells SATA and is very honest, He will not stear you wrong.
