I plumbed the air intake to the carb air cleaner. I have a quick connect on the fenderwell under the hood with a regulator & guage. My 5 gallon tank is mounted just below the radiator between the frame rails. My switch is mounted on the dash, this is on my '89 Burb. The York works great but needs a small mod to check and add oil. Use the vertical compressors only due to the lubrication, the good heavy duty iron ones are found (I think) on:

American Motors all engines 1980-81
Ford all engines 1968-85
Ford heavy duty truck all engines 1980-85
Jeep all engines 1980-82
Lincoln all engines 1970-71
Mercedes all engines 1969-90

I plan on installing the same setup on my Flatfender, & plan to use 2 Semi Truck air-brake cylinders mounted between the frame rails for the storage tanks. I also am experimenting with a rear "tube" bumper from a FJ40 that will hold 5 gal.

On the trail you can connect an air powered die grinder to the bottom of a blender and mix up some quick blended margaritas IF you have on-board air. I think I saw this in MN's survival kit at Holister :) Or was it the Toyota 4X4s ?
