If that is your name....The biggest fire storms I get on my forum is when I pull a post, however I cannot let others dictate what I feel to be tasteless posts or comments, or profanity, so I travel to my own drummer. Joe does an excellent job moderating this forum, but it is not possible to be everywhere at all times, in fact Joe may even have a life. This weekend I have attended a funeral and several previously scheduled events, if you had been flamed on my forum, the posts would have been up at least two days. Also, if diminishing the impact to your reputation is the goal, an e-mail to Joe works a heck of a lot better than a public post, which only adds to the debate.
You have the right to defend yourself at the thread expressing the posters point of view, Joe cannot be accountable for the free speech of others, until he reads the offending post and recieves feedback offline.
I know it is tedious and offensive to be repeatedly slandered, the person posting should have the courage to post their name or not post. How can you rectify the situation when the complaint is anonymous?
