Norm (original owner of my 48) put a HEMI
in (354) for a short period of time & pulled it back out & put the original 230 back in
as the hemi had too much torque & snapped
Axles & twisted the drive shaft.
now he USED the 48 at his little mine in Northern Nevada and not as a highway / trail ride truck (tires had chunks out of the tread from rocks on the trail to his mine)
I think the 354 is still in his garage
