An M-37 uses a T245 engine stamp, so I would wonder if your number is something else.
M23 is a 1959 Dodge truck block, maybe it is some kind of 1959 car block?
Verify the number and let me know what the whole sequence is (including - or *), and I will try and decode it for you.
