Yes a stock M37 will do 55+ no problem!

The govenor modifications worked great. A stock M37 will cruse 55 mph no problem! Sure seems like hight RPMs but that is the maxium speed the military said it could go. Took it for a 50+ mile drive today and every thing worked great. Sure glad I don't have that govenor telling the engine what to do anymore. Much smoother riding and acceleration responce. Mark H.
