If you look close you can see the rear body was made into a wrecker bed.
The rear bodywork looked decent, but the cab was not as nicely done.

This is of course one of the reasons why so few of the 8,000 plus WC-53s still survive, they were made "useful" by the post war owners...
These two are some of the more interesting conversions I have seen, most are just made into flatbeds.
