Hello, dodgepowerwagon.com friends,

I want to let everyone know that I am home safe and sound from Baghdad. Thank you for all the words of support and for all your thoughts and prayers while I was away.

I got to Fort Stewart a week ago Sunday, spent a few days outprocessing and arrived back at my home here in Abbeville, SC, Thursday. It's great to be home to my wife after 14 months of active duty.

I consider this forum my main home on the Web, and I am proud to be a member of the great community that visits here. While I was in Baghdad, I was fortunate to be able to visit this site relatively often, and even though I didn't post much, this forum was an important touchpoint for me. Thank you, Joe, for providing us this resource.

Thanks to Paul (in NY) Joe and for the syrup; Moose Creek Maple and Power Wagon Maple have been enjoyed in Baghdad. ;-) Thanks to the Southern PW Rally crew for the rally T-shirts; I really enjoyed wearing one when I was hanging out or working out, and I hung the one you all signed on my wall. Thanks to Cabell and the East Coast Convoy crew for the convoy T-shirt; I'd say don't tell the first sergeant that I wore it with my DCU trousers around the hooch sometimes, but I had him take a photo (besides, I have a picture of him drinking out of a coffee mug that says, "So many men, so little time," so I have bargaining power :-) ).

I haven't been online much since the end of December and not at all in the past few weeks because of turning over operations to our replacements and the trip home, so I have a lot of fun catching up to do on the forum.

Again, thank you all. It's good to be home.

All the best,
Chris
No longer in Baghdad :-)
