You need a Cummins in that nice ol' rig!
6 volt would be fine for the trailer lights as you can just change the bulbs but I'm not just sure how you'd run electric trailer brakes. I'm sure there's a way to use a 12V battery on your trailer & then run a 6V relay to operate the brakes...2 12V batteries up front powering the Cummins 6BT is still the way I'd go Ed!
