I like the phrase. Marty coined it, now lets use it.
I freely admit I like Character trucks better than "Restored" trucks. I like'd the way Elmer used baling wire to fix the throttle when it broke, when it broke on me, I used baling wire.

I liked the way they made the tailgate into a grain disposal (I wouldn't do it) but I thnk it was inventive.

I like they way the previous owner put 20's on this truck so he could run faster? or maybe he didn't have any more 16's? Who knows, I like it.

I like the way they used a wedge to keep the truck from popping out of gear in the transfer case.

I like the pop can cover they used to run freewheeling hubs.

Come on you closet Character truck lovers, speak up! Show me your best "Character truck" pic! Post it here or send it to me and I'll post it.

The first PW I ever saw had many of these traits, The first one I ever drove did as well.

It's what draws me to them I think.

I have reliable transportaion...I want to drive HISTORY! And if it's only around the block before the gas can that was strapped to the fender falls off again then so be it!
It's full of history.
