If you have a locker in the rear, and you accelerate too fast or sudden on slick roads, not jut one but both rear tires can break loose. When this happens you no longer have that one tire nonspining tire acting like a rudder to keep the vehicle traveling straight. The rear now wants to pass the front. Even more unnerving is if you let off the throttle too fast when traveling at speed. It is kind of like suddenly applying the emergency brake. Both wheels start to slide and the rear again tries to pass the front.
