You could attach a trailer with the pintle hook and lunette arrangement, and if you then picked up the trailer the truck would be dragged into the air behind it....
You don't get that sort of strenght in a 50mm or 2" ball hitch. A friend converted his Cherokee to a WW2 jeep pintle and then found if he used the cruise control it didn't rattle at all. I've got an M19 ski/wheel trailer to pick up in the next little while, and I'm just going to put the matching M7 tractor pintle on my car and tow it home.
