Most people around here hunt them with dogs. A few without. They are pretty hard to spot unless you know what your looking for and where. I've eaten them before but can't say I like it. Just can't bring myself to like cat meat, so I don't hunt them.

People back east and those who never get out of the cities develop a pretty myopic view of things. They develop what I call a "Disney/Bambi" mentality. They don't have personal experience with wildlife or a realistic comprehension of nature. They base most of their views on what they see on TV and in magazines. That's why you end up with the wildlife mess you have in California, ie, unhealthy populations of bears and mountain lions. People with open minds, realistic views and true wildlife experience can accomplish great wildlife management programs that will benefit everyone. It works for the most part in Idaho. Just another of my rants.
